This is Stella. She is a senior lab* mix. Her research focuses on the effect of wildlife on electricity reliability. She is currently running an experiment that tests if a novel method of squirrel deterrence can reduce the incidence of power outages on the Indiana University campus. She has also served as the co-co-TA for three cohorts of econometrics students.

If you are visiting Bloomington, Stella recommends the pup cups and porch at Hopscotch; the dog doughnuts at Parlor; the ice cream at Bruster's; the temo at Anyetsang's; the bacon at Upland; and the streams at Griffy and the Jackson Creek Trail. The squirrel-to-tree ratio is also excellent in the fall at Brown County State Park, if you can find someone to drive you!

She welcomes inquiries through her assistant, Madeline, about causal inference or unexpected bunny sightings. Though born in Oakland, CA, Stella has enjoyed life in the Midwest; outside of the lab, you can find her hiking, swimming, or eating carrots.
